The village of Bishops Cleeve is situated 3 miles to the north of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. The village has doubled its population several times over the past sixty years and now has approximately 10,000 residents.
Bishops Cleeve WI was formed in the 1920's and we now have over 60 members covering a wide age range.
As part of the Cleeve Hill Group of WI's we meet with other WI's in the area, enjoying social meetings and lunches.
As part of the Gloucestershire Federation of WI's we attend the Annual Council Meeting and the Christmas Concert at the Town Hall where we can hear well known speakers and entertainers.
We also take part in annual skittles & quiz competitions. Other activities include, day courses, regular speakers as well as monthly walks and holidays.
Last year the Gloucestershire Federation celebrated their 90th birthday and a member from each institute had tea with the Duchess of Cornwall at Highgrove.
We're also part of the National Federation of WI's and our representatives have attended the AGM's at the Albert Hall.
A lift is now available for access to the first floor Hall
